There are so many talented and amazing wedding vendors here on the Outer Banks. I do realize the choice might be a bit overwhelming when you are trying to pick best vendors for your wedding. I am about to narrow down to one vendor for each category that we had a great pleasure to work with and that have exceeded my expectations by 100%.

Flowers and Decor

Bells and Whistles at the Flower Field

Dorothy Morris and her team have a big vision and a great sense of style when designing for weddings. Their flower arrangements are outstanding in shape and selection of flowers. They rent out a great variety of vases, lanterns, props and furniture as well as drapery and up lights. The final result exceeds expectations. I personally highly recommend hiring a wedding decorator and a florist to setup for your wedding. Setup and production do take an incredible amount of time and effort, and this is the last thing you want to do on your wedding day. Please spend more time enjoying your wedding day and less time stressing about the decor.

Wedding Planner

The Proper Setting
Kerri Catino-Nason is a detail-oriented, hard-working and the most dedicated Outer Banks wedding planner I know. She has a great experience in what she does, and has little nick-knacks handy when you need them. Need a mini brush and a dust pan to quickly clean up a mess? – Kerry will have it. She takes a really good care of the team working on a wedding. She provides water for everyone on the team, not just her own staff. That’s big, especially when it is hot outside.

Dawn’s Kitchen

Dawn Holcomb is an amazing chef and a person with a great heart. Her sandwiches are to die for.

Hair and Make up

Hot Heads Salon

Sofia Decker is super sweet, funny and has a great open personality. She makes you feel very comfortable in hr chair. Her skills are simply amazing. She knows exactly how many pins to put in your hair for you not to be overwhelmed and get tired of your hair quickly. She also knows the best kind of hairspray to hold it altogether and it still look very natural and flow-y.

Transportation

OBX Trolley

Great solution for when you need transportation for the entire wedding party. Riding Stella is so much fun. Have you seen this beautiful trolley with carved wooden sits yet? Go check it out, it is a beauty.

Equipment rentals

Ocean Atlantic Rentals

OAR provide everything from linens, charges, plates and glassware to furniture, dance floor and tent rentals. It’s kind of a must have for your wedding. Chad and Samantha is a pleasure to work with. They are very helpful and have plenty of options and colors available. They will sit down with you and walk you through the process, so all you really need to do is pick your favorites.

Marriage Officiant

Rev. Barbara Mulford

Barbara is very sweet and personable. She officiates both traditional and non-traditional weddings in a very sentimental way. I shed a tear every time she holds a ceremony. I know, I know I am a crier. But those are happy tears.

Specialty

When Doves Fly

They provide doves for your dove release at the end of your ceremony. Jeanne Brook is very pleasant to work with. She is prompt in her email and phone communication and very helpful when it comes to handling the doves. There are a few options available when it comes to releasing the doves. You can release doves by opening a basket, cage, or hold those perfectly trained doves. And, in case you were wondering, No, they don’t bite. What a great way to make a statement!

Cakes

Just Desserts.

Their cakes are so tasty and beautiful. It’s not enough anymore to just have a pretty cake. Your cake needs to be tasty as well. Just Desserts have years of experience to combine the two.

A Major Harmony

Jessie Taylor is very sweet and talented. She brings a microphone for her music to be heard if the ceremony is inside or outside. Who would not want to have live music at their wedding, would you?

108 Budleigh is a charming and elegant venue in the heart of Manteo. If you are looking for the romantic high end look and feel, this is the perfect spot. The venue is surrounded by picturesque Manteo waterfront. I believe, it is a combination of both worlds. Having a small town Victorian charm on the shores of the Outer Banks.

Event Home

The Black Stallion

The Black Stallion house in Corolla NC rented via Twiddy is an amazing event home that can accommodate your guests as well as host your wedding. It offers extensive courtyard and backyard, pool and a guest house, where the bride can get ready in private or have bridesmaids getting ready with her. In case of rain, the pool area can be covered with a tent. Otherwise, there is plenty of space to move the party inside into an open event room. I don’t want to even start talking about the beautiful staircase and exquisite chandelier inside the house.

Resort

The Sanderling resort and Spa

The Sanderling resort and Spa is not only a wonderful place for your vacation, it is an amazing wedding venue. The Sandeling offers a covered event venue on the sound and has an open ocean view deck, which would be perfect for your rehearsal dinner or your ceremony.
